"Service dogs are not just pets with jobs,
they are superheroes in fur coats."

training a super hero

Service animals are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. If you are looking for information regarding the training of Emotional Support Animals, that training would fall under Basic Training.

Service dogs often sell for $30,000-$50,000 from a breeder/trainer. If you would like to have your own dog trained to be your service animal and to be able to perform tasks that assist you with your disability, the pricing can be seen below. Some scholarships from donors may be available to aid in the cost for those who qualify.

Single task training to help with your disability: $10,000

Each additional task : $2500

**All dogs must be evaluated during an in-home consultation to test your dog's ability to perform the work required for your specific needs. We can also help in finding a dog that is right for you if you do not have one yet.

Would you like to train your own service dog but need guidance? The Americans with Disabilities Act allows owners to train their own service dogs. Gelert K-9 can help get you on the right track and check in on your progress throughout the process.
